Seventeen Months Old

Here we are at Seventeen Months!! What is new with us - we are just full of personality and very happy girls.

A video of us enjoying the leaves falling!

Hannukah 2007

We had a lot of fun during Hannukah, and by the end, defintely knew that a box equaled a new toy! One of our big toys was a riding puppy named "Porter the Puppy". It was really fun when we first got it...the novelty has worn off a bit, but we still love him!

Hannukah with Emily and Nikki!

Mimi's House

Since we didn't see Mimi and Poppy Thanksgiving, we went to visit them the first weekend in December. We had a great time. Sadie learned another new word (her vocabulary just continues to grow and grow) which was "flower".

Hollis tries to make a run for it!

Sadie sees a birdie over Mimi's garden.

Thanksgiving 2007

We had a fun and busy Thanksgiving Day. We first went to our cousins house, then came home to see Boo and Cece and then headed to Grammy's house. We loved the sweet potato cassorole, but not much else. We have a lot to be thankful for - Sadie is doing great since her surgery, we are both happy and healthy and love our Mommy and Daddy!

16 Months Old

We are having so much fun as toddlers. We are running all over the place, we love to dance and we can talk up a storm. Our favorite toys are balls (all kinds), anything that makes music and of course Elmo, which is also a word both of us can say.

Sadie is doing great post-surgery. Mommy is really looking forward to getting the neck brace off this week, because it is very hard to keep it clean, but it really doesn't bother Sadie. It is hard to tell whether she is holding her head straighter. They told us that it might take a few days for the swelling to go down and her to not be so guarded...so time will have to tell us.

SuperStar Sadie

Well, surgery day is done and Sadie was a superstar just like we would have expected. She didn't get to eat all day and didn't even fuss about it. She was such an angel and really wasn't cranky all day - before, during or after!

Checking in....

Waiting with all the fun toys...

She was away from us for about 1.5 hours, when they brought her back to us they told us they wanted her to nap for about 30 minutes for the anesthsia to wear off...she napped for about 30 minutes on Mommy...

...the 30 minutes on Daddy....

When she got home, Hollis was so excited to see her! It took her a while to "wake up" but once she did there was no stopping her! The collar she is wearing she has to wear for about a week. She doesn't seem bothered by it at all...she has dissolvable stitches under the collar which we haven't even seen. Her she will have a little scar on her neck, but the doctor assured us it wouldn't be too bad.

Hollis had a great day without Sadie, but so so happy when she got home!

Sadie was walking and talking just like normal...no change in this little girl - Thanks Goodness!!

Pre-Surgery Sadie

Sadie had no idea what was going to happen to her the next day...hopefully by tomorrow she won't remember any of it!!

Which Purse Goes Best?

Hey Mom, Which purse goes best with this outfit??? The pink one...

....or the blue one??

Our Chair

We used to take a lot of pictures in this chair before we could sit up. Today after our nap we both climbed in and thought it was fun to sit here together. Look at the picture below - it was almost a year ago to the day...wow, we have really grown up (and boy, do we look cuter with hair!!)

Just so no one is confused, we did change places!!

Lollipop, Lollipop, Oh, LolliLollipop

Yummy - Aunt Laura gave us some lollipops the other day! We ate them to the sweet, sweet end!

And the winner of Redfield's "BEST DUO SIX AND UNDER" goes to...

...."THE ALABAMA TWINS!" Though we think the category might have been created for us, it was fun to win a prize (gift certificates to McDonalds - yummy!) We had a great Halloween - it was really fun to dress up in our Alabama cheerleading uniforms. We had several events to go to so we go to wear them a few times...we also had some hand-me-down Monkeys from the Finches that we wore (our mommy did not get a picture of us in these yet, but will!!)

We had so much fun at Selia's first birthday party!

On our way to the Redfield party...

...back home waiting on Trick or Treaters...

....trying a "stunt"....

What a good Rice Krispy TREAT!

With Lifeguard Sophia and Leprochan Phoebe!

Earlier that day we went to a Halloween party and played "pin the nose on the pumpkin!" Neither of us got it quite right, but we were close...

Go Jake Go!

Our friend Jake came over Sunday afternoon. We are so proud of him...it has been almost 3 months since his accident and he is doing just great! We loved hanging out with him and calling him "baby" - we also loved the blocks his mommy brought for him to play with!

Hollis and Jake wave "HI" to the camera!

He is only 3 months older but about the size of both of us combined...

Sadie and Jake bonded by "dancing" on the sofa outside...the would both bang their legs down when you said "Dance"!

15 Months Old!

It was really great to celebrate our 15 month "birthday" at the beach! We finally got used to the sand and really enjoyed playing on the chairs!

Seacrest

Seacrest Village has a really fun fountain and a lot of "green space" that was great to walk around....

Sadie was more daring than Hollis and would actually walk on the fountain...

...she even tried to figure out what the blue "dots" were...

...luckily before the fountain sprayed, we had a little warning!

How we feel about the sand....

The girls let us know how they feel about walking in the sand...
