Fun Toys

We got some cool new toys for our birthday and are really enjoying some of our "old" ones more and more these days...

Our friend Ava thought our doll stroller was for her!

After a long afternoon of playing, Hollis kicks back while sleeping!

Bouncin' Up and Down in Our Little Red Wagon

Sadie: Hollis! Hollis! This wagon is so cool!! I have riden in one before and it is so much fun! Sit down so Mommy can put the wheels on and we can go for a ride.

Hollis: Sadie, you are right, I can't believe how much fun this is! Hold on tight!

Boxes make great presents!

Wow...we got some really great presents...and we really appreciate all of the gifts!! We were both very excited to see what was in the big bags...

...until our eyes caught these boxes and then we were entertained for hours!

Having our cakes and eating them too!

Sadie looks around wondering why everyone is staring at her...

When mommy finally put the cake down, she was curious, but cautious...

...it took a few minutes, but she got the hang of it and started to open wide - she never really took a chunk out on her own...

...at the end of it all, Sadie's first cake experience was a good one!

Hollis also wasn't quite sure about what was going to happen...

...she was also curious, but cautious...

...Daddy tried to help....

...but finally had to take matters into his own hands (and mouth)...

They say a picture says a 1000 words, but these 2 pictures just say a few "Hollis doesn't really like cake."

Musical Birthday

We had a such a fun "Music Class" Birthday Party. We were so excited to have family and friends there to help celebrate our birthdays!!

BIRTHDAY GIRLS

We had such a fun birthday! We had music class, our cousins came over to play and we even got to go out for pizza and ice cream!

Sadie "Yippee, I am one!! Look how much fun it is to bounce off the chair!"

Hollis "I am just excited to be able to hold our sign, even if it is upside down!"

Sadie "Now that I am so old...this will be my treat!"

Hollis "That Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream was so yummy! And it is fun to have a chocolate mustache!"

We've come a long way!

WOW!! What a difference a year makes! We have had such a great first year! We have learned so much and loved getting to know our family and friends! We feel so lucky to have so many good friends already!!

We wanted you to see some pictures from our first couple of days, we have come a long way from the 5 lbs and 3 lbs 15 oz that we started! You can really tell in these pictures just how small we were!

Having a BALL!

Our cousins gave us a really cool ball pit for our birthday - it has a tunnel and everything...we are loving crawling through and playing in the balls! Our mommy is excited for us to learn how to clean them up also!

Around the House Fun

We are quite the little explorers and have found places to climb all around the house..

...including climbing up the stairs.

Hollis must have still been hungry after dinner as she became a scavenger under the high chairs.

Look at me - ONE HAND!!

Pool Time

We are having so much fun at our neighborhood pool. We are so lucky that there is a baby pool especially for us!

View from the Grove Park Inn

Daddy had a conference this weekend at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville and we got to go. We had a ton of fun! The hotel is really cool and we did a lot of exploring. We went out to lunch and dinner almost every day, got caught in a rainstorm and even learned to use crayons and color pretty pictures!

The view from the Grove Park Inn is amazing - if you haven't been - we would highly recommend it!

Two of Our Favorite Things

Even though we were away from home, we got to enjoy our favorite things...

Hollis: I love stuffed animals, especially puppies!! The Grove Park was so fun because they had a HUGE stuffed puppy in the gift shop. Luckily, Mommy drinks so many Diet Cokes that we got to visit him often!

Sadie: Books are so fun to read. I am such a big girl, that I could climb up in this chair and turn myself around to read all about the horses!
